Crafted from the original Blanco, Fortaleza Winter Blend Reposado Tequila undergoes a meticulous process that involves finishing it to 46% ABV and aging it in a trifecta of oak barrels. The barrels used include American oak ex-beer barrels, American oak ex-Reposado, and French oak Winter Blend previous-remnant barrels. After the distillates are aged separately, the American oak barrels are aged for 6 months, while the French oak remnant barrels are rested for 10 months. This highly curated tequila is produced in limited quantities depending on the release year, with only 7,050 bottles available in 2020. Fortaleza Winter Blend Reposado is double-distilled and boasts an aroma of cooked fruits, agave, cinnamon, and vanilla caramel cream. The palate is characterized by smooth vanilla, butterscotch, agave, and subtle hints of spice.
